You must apply online and set up a new account: (accounts may be set up prior to waitlist opening, however applications can not be submitted until the waitlist is open)
Once the waiting list closes, eligible applicants will receive a notification by email of their lottery number and will be placed on the RHA Section 8 Waiting list in a randomized order. Applicants will be notified 30 days after the closing of the list.
Applicants requiring a reasonable accommodation due to the inability to apply during the open enrollment period should contact Ashley@RamapoHousing.com or call (845) 237-3150 and leave a message to request a Reasonable Accommodation form by June 19, 2024. Cases will be reviewed on an independent basis and does not guarantee an opportunity to apply. At the conclusion of the reasonable accommodation period, all applications will be randomly selected resulting with 150 applicants on the PBV Waiting List.
Submission of a lottery application provides an opportunity for applicants to be selected for the RHA Project Based Voucher Waiting List. Submission of an application does not guarantee that the applicants will be selected for the Project Based Voucher Waiting List as it is a lottery process. It is the policy of the RHA to comply fully with all Federal, State, and local nondiscrimination laws; the Americans with Disabilities Act; and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations governing Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.
