New Voucher Portal Announcement

EOHLC has partnered with AffordableHousing.com to provide outreach and support to applicants, participants, and landlords participating in EOHLC's rental assistance programs. This assistance supports the transition to Yardi, the new software system used by the nine (9) Regional Administering Agencies(RAAs) across the Commonwealth to administer the program.

Applicants

Households who applied for the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP/Section 8) through EOHLC and a Regional Administering Agency have been sent a letter with instructions on how to access their application and complete an update. Applicants must respond by the deadline stated in their letter or they will be removed from the waiting list.

How to Stay on the Waiting List:

To stay on the waiting list, you must either Respond Online or Respond by Mail.

Option 1: Respond Online
  1. Visit our online portal at: www.mass.gov/waitlistportal
  2. Select: Click here to register.
  3. Select: I have a registration code.
  4. Enter your registration code (found in your letter)
  5. Complete the registration screen and create an account.
  6. Login to your account and click on the Save My Spot icon. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Option 2: Respond by Mail
  1. Fill out the information on the Respond by Mail form included with your letter.
  2. Return the Respond by Mail form in the envelope provided your this letter.
  3. No stamp or postage is required.
  4. Keep your letter for your records.

If you believe you should have received a letter but did not, you can fill out this form and EOHLC will follow up.

Participants

Participants in the Section 8 program through EOHLC and a Regional Administering Agency have been sent a letter with instructions on how to access the Tenant Portal. Accessing the Tenant Portal is optional and not required.

You can use the Yardi RentCafe portal to:
  • Complete your recertification paperwork.
  • Review your income, assets, and other household information.
  • Update your contact information.
  • Submit inspection requests.
To register for the portal, follow these instructions:
  1. Visit www.mass.gov/tenantportal
  2. Select: Create an account.
  3. Enter your registration code (found in your letter from EOHLC)
  4. Complete the registration screen and create an account.

Use of the portal is optional. If you do not want to use the online portal, you may continue contacting your RAA as usual. Choosing not to use the portal will not impact your housing.
